Well i though it should make a return...so here is my battlestar design that i have been working on....3 views completed with the other two coming very soon. I have estimated that she will carry 120 vipers and 18 raptors...i think this is right going by what a mercuary class battlestar can hold, and being that my ship is a little bigger. Also going by the pic i found below i am having a stab at designing my own viper.  Ow i am yet to think of a name for my battlestar so any ideas would be great. C & C welcome as always. |

I remember this. It's pretty cool. That concept art (I'm assuming that's what that is) is pretty cool also. I like the Vipers a little better than the MKVIIs from the show but the Battlestar looks funky. Also, please either post image thumbnails or links instead of direct linking to images, as per Lee's request in the forum posting rules. |

Go back and read the first two sentences of my first post in this thread.  Overall, I like it, though that rear bay has always seemed a little odd to me. I don't know what it is about it but it seems out of place to me. |

ooops my bad. thanks evil, i like the back pod, but im trying to write the history for her and i think a sister ship with simular design without the back pod needs to be designed. im thinking of saying that the back pod was used mostly when at dock as the engines wont be on so supplies and stuff can be loaded that way, but also that in later designs the pod was removed due to the backwash from the engines, but then again its space, didnt think there would be any back wash. and aslo the pod added extra room for machine shops and viper storage but was never used to launch vipers. Thoughts and comments welcome |

There would definitely be back wash in space. In fact, it would fly out in more directions because of the lack of gravity. Interesting story on the pod.

The Viper-ish thing looks cool. I can't wait to see some more views of that.  However, there's something wrong with the link for the Battlestar. I clicked on the image and got a login screen. It claims that your album is private. Either you did something when you copied the link or Photobucket is losing its mind (could be the latter. ;)) |

What type of info are you looking for? I can't remember if I ever found any info sites on the ships, I know I did on the shows itself. My only suggestion is to hit your favorite search engine and hope for the best. (sorry, that's all I got) I like the battlestar, it's definitely got a different look to it than the ones from the series. It looks smaller, but that could be an illusion because of the different proportions. |
